Bewdley's First Grading

11.05.09 Fantastic First Grading for Bewdley Battlers

As the newest member of the West Midlands Tae Kwon Do Schools it was nerves all round for Bewdley’s beginner students as they attended their first ever grading on the 11th May. As the lowest grading students they were also first onto the floor in front of seventh Dan Black Belt Committee Chairman and Liaison Officer for the Tae Kwon Do Association of Great Britain, Master Paul Donnelly.

They performed basic techniques and sequences of movements, followed by a test of their theoretical knowledge. They are also marked on their fitness, effort and attitude. The three brave students excelled in all areas and not only achieved their new belts but Samantha Titley, local mother of 2, achieved a pass plus grade and father and daughter duo Simon and Ashley Whale got the highest level of pass, the A Grade mark.

Instructor Katie Billingham said “They have worked really hard in the few months they have been training in Tae Kwon Do and have very promising futures ahead of them. I am really proud of how well they have done.”
